Born in 1945, in the Catskill Mountains of New York State, into a family of many artists, Hannah expanded a natural talent for drawing into a distinctive style of painting in watercolor, first focusing on the coastal Maine scenery, when she and her husband settled there in 1972.
Her award-winning paintings have been shown in many locations throughout New England. In the past few years, she has turned many of her paintings into greeting cards and fine art prints, which are marketed through many outlets.
She has participated in many area shows and galleries over the years. She has taught watercolor to International Elderhostel students in Mexico, and has conducted many Maine watercolor workshops. She was for years a member of the faculty of River Arts, Damariscotta, Maine.
Since 2004, Hannah has painted in the Florida Everglades during the winter months, where she shows her work and teaches watercolor workshops. Some of her Florida shows include:
- January 2005: Annual Juried International Fine Art Show at the Marco Island Art League.
